Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family

Discovery Place Science brought in an exhibition from Australia on the popular T-Rex dinosaur family. I worked with the Marketing Department to create collateral for the exhibition that enticed the public to come see the dinosaurs in person.


Out of home

We created billboards with extensions and announced the arrival of dinosaurs by putting flags on the light posts all the way down Tryon Street in front of the Museum. By our entrance, we created a 7 foot cube that the public could interact with. When you walked by, it would shake and rattle and play the sound of a dinosaur roar.


Media kit

I worked with the Director of Communication to create a press kit that looked like a field guide for a paleontologist. Designed with sketches and stains, and printed on recycled paper with a craft cover made this a hit with our earned media partners.


PARTNER MARKETING

We partnered with local businesses to set up “Fossil Digs” all over the city of Charlotte. We created little kits for our young paleontologists that included stickers, a fossil collection bag, branded brushes and identification guides. Over the summer we interacted with hundreds of families each weekend generating excitement for the exhibit.
